Dakota Johnson Shares Details About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Private Wedding

Actress Dakota Johnson has offered a glimpse into the private wedding of pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce, nearly three months after the couple reportedly tied the knot. Johnson, who recently starred in Swift's music video for "Patient Zero," shared her thoughts on the ceremony during an interview on BBC Radio 1 with host Greg James.

"It was so, like… everything [Taylor's] dreamed of. It just felt so completely her," Johnson said of her friend's wedding. When asked if any photos from the event might surface, Johnson definitively replied, "No."

The "Patient Zero" music video, which debuted at the MTV Video Music Awards, features Swift in a wedding dress alongside actor Colin Farrell. The video's release led many fans to jokingly comment that it was the closest they would get to seeing a wedding portrait of Swift and Kelce.

Swift's wedding, which took place on July 3, was attended by a number of high-profile guests, including Jennifer Lopez, Cindy Crawford, and Paul Rudd. Actor Adam Scott, who was among the reported 1,000 attendees, previously shared his impressions of the event on the Today show in August.

"I think the thing we walked away with, the impression we had more than anything, was that it was a real wedding," Scott said, adding that despite the scale, "at its core, it just felt like a regular wedding with two people coming together."

Johnson and Farrell portray a couple in the "Patient Zero" music video, where Swift appears as a spectral figure attempting to warn Johnson's character about her relationship's impending doom. The singer-songwriter, who also directed the visual, received the inaugural Artist Director Honors at the MTV Video Music Awards.

In other music news, Swift's latest deluxe album, "The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore," has received mixed reviews, with some critics labeling its new tracks as "derivative and flat." However, "Patient Zero" has achieved significant success, becoming Spotify's most-streamed song by a female artist in a single day this year. The platform also recognized Swift as its most-streamed female artist overall for a single day in 2026.

Fans can anticipate Swift's appearance at the Country Music Awards in November, where her song "I Knew It, I Knew You" from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack is nominated for Single of the Year. Swift's last appearance at the CMAs was in 2016.
