Dakota Johnson has sold her historic Hollywood Hills home for $5.92 million, realizing a profit of more than $2 million on the property. The deal closed on Monday, just six days after the 3,210-square-foot residence was listed for $6 million.
The three-bedroom, three-bath home, built in 1947 by architect Carl Maston, is located above the Chateau Marmont. Johnson purchased the house in 2016 for $3.55 million from TV producer Ryan Murphy.
The property gained significant attention in design circles in 2020 when it was featured on the cover of Architectural Digest. The home's design, a blend of poured concrete, wood-framed glass walls, and exposed-beam ceilings, was highlighted.
During a promotional video for the Architectural Digest feature, Johnson famously gestured to a bowl of limes on her kitchen counter, stating her affection for them. However, she later clarified on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon that she had been unaware of an allergy to limes. She humorously revisited this incident in a 2024 promotion for “SNL.”
