Dakota Johnson Dazzles in Sheer Dress at 'Verity' Premiere; Anne Hathaway Absent

Dakota Johnson captured attention at the London premiere of "Verity" on Thursday night, opting for a sheer lace dress that revealed her underwear. Her co-star, Anne Hathaway, who is heavily pregnant with her third child, was unable to attend the event.

Johnson, 36, posed on the red carpet at the Curzon Mayfair in central London alongside Josh Hartnett, who plays Jeremy Crawford, the husband of Hathaway's character. Hartnett appeared dapper in a black suit.

Hathaway, 43, is nearing the end of her pregnancy and was recently seen in New York displaying her baby bump. She is set to portray the bestselling author Verity Crawford in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel. Johnson stars as Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer tasked with completing Verity's book series after an accident leaves her debilitated.

The film, adapted by Nick Antosca and directed by Michael Showalter, follows Ashleigh as she takes on the ghostwriting project at the Crawford estate. There, she uncovers an unfinished manuscript that hints at dark secrets from Verity and Jeremy's past, forcing Ashleigh to question whether the writings are fiction or a dangerous confession.

"Verity" is scheduled for release in cinemas on October 2. Hathaway has had a prolific year, with "Verity" being one of five films she has starred in, including "Mother Mary," "The Devil Wears Prada 2," "The Odyssey," and "The End of Oak Street." She also announced earlier this month her upcoming role alongside Tom Cruise in "Days of Thunder 2," slated for summer 2028.

Hathaway confirmed her third pregnancy in June during the press tour for "The Devil Wears Prada 2." She shared her joy on Instagram, noting the challenges of conceiving in her 40s and expressing gratitude for the opportunity to become a parent again.

In recent weeks, Hathaway addressed online rumors suggesting she was faking her pregnancy. She responded on Instagram to claims that her baby bump appeared artificial at a previous event, stating, "Fake hair, real bump."
