Dakota Johnson celebrated her 37th birthday with a sophisticated, all-black ensemble featuring sheer lace and fur at Via Carota in New York City on Monday evening. The "Verity" actress followed her Saturday Night Live hosting gig with a private birthday dinner.
Johnson's outfit included a sheer black lace Stella McCartney dress with black velvet panels, worn with her underwear visible underneath. She layered the dress with a mink-trimmed Nour Hammour leather jacket, which retails for $2,120. Her accessories complemented the look, featuring sandals from The Row ($890) and a Sylvia Gnecchi chainmail bag costing $1,040.
The birthday celebration also featured a notable display of jewelry. Johnson accessorized with diamond pieces, including hoop drop earrings from Jessica McCormack, a Toteme drop necklace priced at $690, and a pair of Sophie Bille Brahe rings designed to spell out "D" and "J," each valued at $12,500.
Among the guests at the intimate dinner were Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney. While Taylor Swift, who appeared alongside Johnson during the SNL monologue and at the show's after-party, was not in attendance at the birthday dinner, other friends and family members were present.
Johnson had previously worn a similar style from Stella McCartney in March to a Paul McCartney concert, without the addition of the fur-trimmed jacket.
