Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has broken his silence regarding the end of his engagement to Sarah Jane Ramos, a split that occurred weeks before their planned wedding in Italy.
"There were a lot of false narratives out there on both of our sides," Prescott stated in a recent interview with The Dallas Morning News. The NFL player described the breakup as "an unfortunate situation for obviously everybody — and, more importantly, the kids."
Prescott, 33, and Ramos, 32, welcomed two daughters, Margaret Jane “MJ,” who is 2, and Aurora, who is 1, prior to their engagement ending. The couple announced their decision to call off the wedding in Lake Como, scheduled for April, in an email to their guests.
Ramos had previously addressed the split in March, refuting a rumor that the relationship concluded over a prenuptial agreement. She has not commented on reports suggesting Prescott had an ongoing issue involving the alleged use of incognito social media profiles to contact other women.
Prescott emphasized his commitment to his children, stating, "For me, it’s just about making sure I’m there in every which way for them."
