Daisy Edgar-Jones Embraces Modern Style After Promoting Period Film

Actress Daisy Edgar-Jones, known for her role in the latest adaptation of Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility," shifted her style on Monday as she departed NBC Studios in New York. After promoting her film in Regency-era-inspired attire, Edgar-Jones was seen in a pale blue satin mini skirt paired with a bird motif top and white stilettos. This modern ensemble marked a departure from the period costumes and looks associated with her latest project.

Later in the day, Edgar-Jones was seen in a different outfit, featuring yellow leather trousers and another bird-themed top, further showcasing a more contemporary fashion sense. The 28-year-old actress has been actively promoting her new film, which is an adaptation of Jane Austen's 1811 novel. The film also stars Esmé Creed-Miles.

Reviews for "Sense and Sensibility" have been divided. While The Telegraph awarded it five stars, praising its fresh take on Austen's work, others, like the Daily Mail and The Times, gave it two stars, describing it as "Austen by numbers." The film currently holds a 79% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Edgar-Jones has spoken about her character, Elinor, in the film, noting her attraction to strong-willed yet sensitive women. She described Elinor as someone who "feels a lot and just knows how to govern it," adding that she herself leads with her head and often suppresses her emotions, though the role allowed her to embrace a "wilder, passionate side."

Beyond her professional endeavors, Edgar-Jones recently shared details about her three-year relationship with photographer Ben Seed. She acknowledged the challenges of maintaining their relationship due to their demanding schedules but emphasized their commitment to not being apart for more than three weeks. Edgar-Jones also touched upon her desire to have children and concerns related to endometriosis potentially affecting her ability to conceive.

She also discussed her move to east London, influenced by her boyfriend's residence in London Fields, and how she fell in love with the area. Edgar-Jones credited Seed as a supportive partner who "champions me in a way that is so magic," contributing to her feeling "safe and happy."
