Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles, co-stars in the new film "Sense and Sensibility," appeared together at FocusFest 2026 on Sunday at The Commons, Universal Studios in California. Edgar-Jones, 28, sported a grey strapless crop top paired with a floral print midi skirt, while Creed-Miles, 26, opted for a black flannel shirt dress.

The actresses posed for photographs on the red carpet before taking to the stage to discuss the film, the latest adaptation of Jane Austen's 1811 novel. Edgar-Jones plays Elinor Dashwood in the movie.

"Sense and Sensibility" has received mixed reviews. Critics have noted its thematic similarities to previous adaptations, with some finding it "Austen by numbers," while others have praised its fresh approach. The film currently holds a 79% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Edgar-Jones shared her connection to her character, Elinor, describing her as a woman who is both sensitive and strong-willed, capable of governing her emotions. The actress told the BBC that she identifies with Elinor's tendency to lead with her head, though she felt the role allowed her to explore a "wilder, passionate side" she also learned to embrace.

In recent interviews, Edgar-Jones has also spoken about her three-year relationship with photographer Ben Seed, her desire to become a mother, and her concerns about the potential impact of endometriosis on fertility. She also discussed her move to east London to be closer to Seed and how his support has been significant in her life.
