Daisy Campbell, known for her role as Amelia Spencer on Emmerdale, recently shared glimpses of her summer getaway in Ibiza. The 23-year-old actress posted images from a boat day, where she was seen in a lace bikini after a swim.

Campbell, who joined Emmerdale at the age of seven in 2011, was reportedly written out of the show in 2024 after 13 years. She has spoken about the decision, describing it as a shock and something that left her in a "dark hole."

"It wasn't my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first," Campbell told The Mirror. "Being in Emmerdale is all I've ever known. I've spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting."

She explained that her character's exit occurred when a new producer took charge. Campbell found it difficult to process the news, initially confiding only in a few close friends and co-stars, including Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, and Jack Downham, who offered support.

"They were upset for me but so supportive," she said. "I didn't tell the rest of the cast my news initially as I wanted the time to process everything. I needed time to grieve the part of Amelia."

Campbell also shared photos from a day at O Beach, opting for a bright blue bikini and sunglasses. She mentioned that she sacrificed parts of her childhood for the role, noting that she sometimes wished she could have stayed at school with her friends instead of being on set.

Following her departure from Emmerdale, Campbell expressed difficulty in finding subsequent acting work. She plans to open a Pilates studio, named That Pilates Place, in Pontefract, using her earnings from the soap. While she has not ruled out a return to acting, her business is currently her primary focus. Campbell stated that bosses had informed her they had run out of storylines for her character, particularly after her on-screen parents had left the dales.
