CW Morgan, an actor recognized for his role as Billy Loomis's father in the 1996 horror film "Scream," has died at the age of 72.
His daughter, Renata Macfie, confirmed his passing on August 30 via a tribute posted on her Facebook page. She shared a throwback photograph and expressed her grief, writing, "Loosing you has left the biggest hole in my heart. I miss you endlessly already." Macfie also reflected on shared memories and the impact of his absence, stating, "Life will never be the same without you and your poorly timed jokes that I inherited from you."
Los Angeles Medical Examiner records indicate that Morgan died on August 30 in Los Angeles County. The specific cause of death has not been disclosed, but records suggest the passing occurred in a bathroom. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) informed TMZ that authorities responded to a call for a death investigation, and the circumstances initially appeared to be of natural causes.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) also confirmed receiving a call for an unconscious adult male. As Morgan was deceased upon their arrival, the incident was treated as a coroner's case.
Morgan was notably known for his portrayal of Hank Loomis, the father of Skeet Ulrich's character Billy Loomis, in "Scream."
