Custodian Arrested for Voyeurism in College Women's Locker Room

An Ohio man was arrested and charged with voyeurism after allegedly taking photos of members of a college women's soccer team while hidden in the ceiling of their locker room. Jayson Barker, of Jeffersonville, faces 11 counts of the offense, according to reports.

Wilmington Police Department officers responded to the Scheve Athletic Center at Wilmington College on Tuesday evening after receiving reports of someone photographing players as they changed. Upon arrival, officers found Barker already detained by campus safety personnel. Investigators determined that Barker, employed as a contract custodial worker at the school, had concealed himself in the locker room's ceiling area before being discovered by a team member.

Wilmington College issued a statement emphasizing its commitment to student safety and well-being. "The college’s paramount concern is the safety and well-being of its students," the institution said. "We have been providing counseling and other support services for the affected students since Tuesday night and are taking measures to ensure that no student’s safety or well-being is compromised. Also, the college continues to assist with law enforcement’s investigation."

Barker is being held at the Clinton County Jail on a $22,000 cash surety bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 5.
