Crystal Hefner, widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has drawn sharp criticism from comedian Jon Lovitz after she shared her regrets about their marriage in a recent Instagram video. Lovitz, a friend of Hefner's and a guest at their 2012 wedding, questioned Hefner's motives and expressed his displeasure with her public statements.

Crystal Hefner, who married the 86-year-old Hugh Hefner at the age of 26, described her remorse in a video posted on Wednesday. She stated that she felt she had made herself "smaller so his world could feel bigger" and regretted "learning to stay quiet when I could have spoken." She also expressed regret for abandoning a version of herself "just to survive in that environment" and for taking years to understand what was happening.

Responding to her video, Lovitz commented, "Do you regret the house he bought for you to live in, after his death? And keeping the money, after you sold it? And all the times your mother was at the mansion? And do you regret all he did for you? And do you regret leaving him and then coming back to marry him?"

Crystal Hefner, a former Playmate of the Month, was Hugh Hefner's third and final wife. They remained together until his death in 2017 at the age of 91. Following his death, she reportedly received a $5 million lump sum and a four-bedroom Hollywood Hills house, which she later sold for an additional $5 million.

This is not the first time Crystal Hefner has spoken about her relationship with the Playboy founder. In her 2022 memoir, "Only Say Good Things," she detailed aspects of their life together, including her role in procuring other women for group sexual encounters. She described these encounters as being about "power and control and leverage" rather than intimacy, and expressed that she felt like she was "auditioning for a part."

Crystal Hefner has since moved on from her marriage to Hugh Hefner. She eloped with tour company owner James Ward in the Cook Islands in April. Lovitz, meanwhile, has been a familiar figure at the Playboy Mansion and attended Hefner's wedding to Crystal.
