Crystal Hefner Claims Jack Nicholson Treated Playboy Mansion Like a 'Drive-Thru'

Crystal Hefner, the widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has claimed that Oscar-winning actor Jack Nicholson treated the Playboy Mansion as his personal “drive-thru.” Hefner, a former Playmate, stated on her show "After the Mansion" that Nicholson was such a regular visitor to the Los Angeles estate that residents nicknamed it after him.

“They used to call it Jack Nicholson’s drive-thru at one point because he would drive up, grab some food or whatever else he could get there and leave,” Crystal Hefner said.

Nicholson’s daughter, Lorraine, has previously spoken about her childhood experiences at the Playboy Mansion, noting that she spent considerable time there playing with Hefner’s sons, Marston and Cooper. In a 2024 essay for Vanity Fair, she clarified that her nanny, a former social secretary for Hugh Hefner, was responsible for bringing her to the property, rather than her father.

Crystal Hefner also commented on her late husband’s desire for fame and his treatment of celebrity guests. “One thing that mattered most to Hef was fame,” she stated. “Any celebrity was treated extremely well whenever they visited.” She recalled visits from figures such as Bill Maher, Berry Gordy, and Buzz Aldrin.

These remarks follow recent allegations made by Crystal Hefner regarding sexual abuse by her late husband. In an appearance on the podcast “Lisa Guerrero Unleashed,” she suggested she had been raped by Hefner during their relationship and described instances where he allegedly pressured women and forced the use of unhygienic sex toys.

Crystal Hefner married Hugh Hefner in 2012, and they remained married until his death in September 2017 at the age of 91. In her 2024 memoir, “Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself,” she detailed alleged attempts by Hefner to control her. Since his death, she has spoken critically of him, stating she was never in love with him and describing the conditions at the Playboy Mansion as “gross.”
