Cruz Beckham, 21, showcased his tattooed torso while aboard the family's $16 million yacht in Portofino, drawing comparisons to his older brother Brooklyn. The reunion occurred Wednesday as Cruz rejoined his family for a portion of their Mediterranean summer holiday. Cruz had been touring North America with his band, The Breakers.
He and his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, 30, were on board the yacht to observe a solar eclipse. Cruz's display of his inkings mirrored those of Brooklyn, 27, who also has extensive tattoos. However, reports indicate Brooklyn has begun altering some of his tattoo tributes to family members.
Brooklyn is reportedly estranged from his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, having confirmed the distance in a statement released in January. Despite this, the families' summer activities have seen them in proximity. Before heading to the South of France, David and Victoria, along with Romeo, Kim, Harper, and Cruz, attended the World Cup in the United States. While in California, Brooklyn did not meet up with them.
Reports suggest Brooklyn has had limited contact with his parents, including blocking them on Instagram shortly before Christmas and having legal representatives handle communication. His January statement declared he was no longer part of 'Brand Beckham,' describing his parents and siblings as 'performative.'
Despite Brooklyn's alleged estrangement, the families have occupied nearby locations. David and Victoria were vacationing in Nice at the start of their summer, while Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz were on Elton John's yacht nearby. David Beckham has a long-standing friendship with Elton John, referring to him as 'Uncle Elton.'
Cruz Beckham has amassed a significant tattoo collection, beginning at age 16. His tattoos include tributes to his parents, such as a heart design with 'mum and dad,' and one referencing his mother's Spice Girls moniker, 'Posh.' Brooklyn still retains a 'brotherhood' tattoo on his leg commemorating Cruz and Romeo, which they received in 2023.
The Beckham boys have followed their father David's extensive tattoo collection, with the former footballer estimated to have around 60 tattoos.
