A man identified as David Crosby II, 44, has been charged with child abuse after allegedly punching two children while they were playing tag on a Carnival cruise ship. The incident occurred Sunday aboard the Carnival Glory in Florida.
According to an affidavit obtained by People magazine, Crosby was running down a hallway with three children when he abruptly stopped and struck two of them. One child was hit in the face, resulting in a bleeding lip and head pain, while another was struck in the stomach. Brevard County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident was captured on the ship's security cameras.
Crosby, who is reportedly from Georgia, claimed he was heavily intoxicated and did not remember the alleged assault. The ages of the children and their relationship to Crosby are not clear.
He was arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail. Records indicate he has since been released on a $20,000 bond. The Brevard County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to requests for further information.
