A Brisbane father was allegedly assaulted with a crowbar by a party crasher at his son's 18th birthday celebration. Police were called to Elkhorn Street in Enoggera on Friday night following reports of an altercation.

A 56-year-old man sustained a non-life-threatening wrist injury, while an 18-year-old was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment of a hand injury. Authorities arrested a 16-year-old boy at the scene and charged him with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed with an offensive instrument. He is scheduled to appear in Brisbane Children's Court on August 21.

The incident occurred when the father confronted uninvited guests. "These kids came in that we didn't know... So I got up and pointed at him and said, 'Get out! This is not your party'," the father told The Courier Mail. He recounted that the individual took drinks, pushed his way out, and then assaulted some partygoers outside before being chased.

CCTV footage from the father's front door camera captured the moment a crowbar was swung. The video shows individuals standing outside the home before a younger person approaches an older man holding a crowbar. The younger person swings the weapon, and the older man moves away before the individual walks off.

"It was a good 18th birthday party, spending all the time with my mates, having a good time, and some blokes just rocked up about 12am threatening people and stealing people's drinks," the son told The Courier-Mail. "We kicked them out and then the fight happened outside my house and then got jumped, crowbars were used, and then the cops came."
