Russian drone and missile strikes killed at least seven people across Ukraine on Saturday, while a Ukrainian drone attack in Russia's southern Krasnodar region resulted in three fatalities.

The reciprocal attacks occurred one day after a Russian strike on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, killed at least 16 people and wounded approximately 130.

Officials reported that ballistic missiles hit railway infrastructure in the capital, Kyiv, overnight, killing one person and wounding another. Russia's Defense Ministry stated its forces targeted a locomotive depot. In a separate incident in the Kyiv region, local authorities reported two people killed by a Russian ballistic missile strike.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian drone strikes claimed one life overnight and three more during a daytime attack, wounding 15. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that three individuals were also wounded in an attack on a minibus in the regional capital, Zaporizhzhia.

In Russia's Krasnodar region, three people, including two children, were killed and two adults were injured in a Ukrainian drone strike, according to regional authorities.

The Kryvyi Rih attack on Friday, which Ukrainian officials described as a "double-tap strike" that targeted rescue workers responding to an initial drone impact, caused a fire that spread across approximately 97,000 square feet. The death toll from that strike later rose to 16, with four people still missing.

Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Zelenskyy, has been targeted multiple times during the ongoing conflict. Earlier in the summer, large-scale Russian strikes became more frequent, including a nighttime assault on Kyiv that killed 16 people just 24 hours prior to the Kryvyi Rih incident.

Ukraine has also focused on striking targets within Russia, including oil facilities and warehouses of major online retailers. Ukrainian forces reportedly struck the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region, located about 620 miles from the front lines. Russian news outlets also reported damage at an industrial facility and a logistics center for e-commerce company Ozon in the same region.
