Crimestoppers Offers Reward in Brazen Cryptocurrency Robbery Targeting Family
A pregnant mother and her husband were victims of a violent home invasion in Birmingham, where a substantial amount of cryptocurrency and watches were stolen.
Crimestoppers is offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of four individuals involved in a violent cryptocurrency robbery. The incident occurred on December 13, 2025, at a home in Birmingham, where a pregnant mother of two and her husband were targeted.
CCTV footage captured masked men rushing the property around 5:20 p.m. The suspects forced their way inside, at which point the woman screamed. Inside, the intruders demanded that the couple hand over cryptocurrency, while communicating with a fourth individual via video call. The husband sustained significant injuries during the assault, and the wife, who was weeks away from giving birth, was threatened with a knife.
Following the robbery, the men fled the scene in a black BMW X3, taking a quantity of cryptocurrency and several high-value watches. Authorities believe the attack was planned and targeted.
All four suspects are believed to be in their twenties. One of the men is described as Black with a small diagonal scar beneath his left eyebrow.
Alan Edwards, West Midlands regional manager for Crimestoppers, emphasized the severe impact of the crime on the family, stating, "What was done to them is hard to take in, and the effects are still being felt every single day." He urged anyone with information to come forward, assuring that Crimestoppers guarantees anonymity and does not trace callers or ask for statements in court. "You can help this family without ever saying who you are," Edwards added.
