Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood is pursuing legal action against a contractor for issues stemming from renovation work at his country home, which has reportedly flooded three times. Revel Horwood purchased the 19th-century property in a Northamptonshire village for £1.8 million in 2021.
Revel Horwood stated that the contractor "did all the wrong drawings," leading to the repeated flooding incidents. The renovation, which has been ongoing for two years, has caused significant disruption, forcing the choreographer to live in a caravan. The delays have also impacted his wedding plans to horticulturalist Jonathan Myring.
A source familiar with the renovation indicated that a consultant was removed from the project over two years ago. Revel Horwood, known for his critical commentary on Strictly Come Dancing, has faced a series of setbacks during the extensive work on the seven-bedroom property, which is situated near a lake and a pond. The Australian-born choreographer is reportedly aiming to raise his back garden to construct a terrace around his swimming pool.
