OutKick personality Craig Carton has sharply criticized Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, calling him "a lousy person" following recent remarks made on a podcast.

During an appearance on The Cam Heyward Podcast, Rodgers made controversial statements about his past relationships, including comments about his ex-fiancée, actress Shailene Woodley, and former race car driver Danica Patrick. Carton took issue with Rodgers' decision to share these details, suggesting they were intended to embarrass his former partners.

"Mr. Narcissist himself, Aaron Rodgers, went on the Cam Heyward Podcast, and decided that this was the right platform to embarrass himself," Carton stated. He questioned the veracity of Rodgers' claims, particularly regarding Woodley, noting that she had not spoken about Rodgers publicly in nearly two years.

Carton further elaborated on his criticism, stating, "The more he protests all the accusations against him, and the criticism of him, the more I gathered the fact that he’s a weird guy, a high maintenance guy, an absolute narcissist, and a guy that women should stay thousands of yards away from."

Rodgers also reportedly discussed his relationship with Patrick, referencing her feelings of depression after retiring from auto racing and his refusal to let her contribute to his Malibu home, which he felt indicated the relationship was not progressing in a positive direction. Carton suggested that Rodgers' public comments about his exes and former teammates, whom he declined to name but were identified by Carton as former Packers receiver Greg Jennings and tight end Jermichael Finley, stem from his perceived narcissism.

"What joy do you get out of embarrassing Danica Patrick publicly? What joy do you get out of embarrassing Shailene Woodley publicly," Carton asked. "It’s always about you, isn't it, Aaron?"

While acknowledging Rodgers' potential Hall of Fame football career, Carton concluded, "As great as Aaron Rodgers was…he’s a lousy person. And when it all comes down in the wash, would you rather be a great football player or a great person?"

Rodgers has previously drawn attention for his outspoken views and unconventional approaches, making him a divisive figure in the sports world.
