Two stray cats, Fargo and Murphy, have become unlikely local celebrities in Coventry, drawing visitors and boosting business at the venues they call home. Their presence has become such an attraction that merchandise featuring the feline duo is now available.

Murphy, a black and white tabby, was first discovered living under a bush near The Old Windmill pub before venturing into the pub's car park. Now a permanent resident, Murphy has become a favorite among patrons. "We've had people who've never been in the pub before, but have seen him on social media," said Peter Dunkley, from The Old Windmill. "They come in and the first question is 'where's Murphy?'"

Across town, Fargo, a black and white cat, has made Fargo Village, a creative hub, his territory. He is frequently seen around the site's shops and bars, mingling with patrons and adding to the atmosphere. Fargo Village staff have created an Instagram account to document his adventures and search for his owner, which has garnered a significant following.

These feline figures have transformed from strays into local attractions, with visitors specifically seeking them out. Their unexpected fame has led to the development of merchandise, including artistic impressions of Murphy wearing a crown, indicating their growing popularity beyond just being neighborhood animals.
