Courteney Cox recently shared a meal with longtime friend Geoff Stults, approximately one month after reports surfaced of her split from musician Johnny McDaid. The actress was photographed leaving the restaurant Nobu in Malibu, California, on Thursday evening with Stults.
Cox and Stults, who have known each other for years, were seen conversing outside the popular eatery before parting ways. Cox wore a black sheer blouse and jeans, while Stults opted for a gray T-shirt, black pants, and a baseball cap.
Sources close to Cox indicated that her outing with Stults was a friendly one, noting that the actor is in a relationship with interior designer Alana Marie, with whom he has children. The friendship between Cox and Stults dates back at least to 2016, when they both attended a charity dinner for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital hosted by Jennifer Aniston.
The sighting follows reports that Cox and McDaid ended their relationship after a decade. Insiders told Daily Mail that the breakup was amicable, stemming from the pair living "different lives." An unnamed source described their relationship as deep and stated they remain "extremely amicable" and "great friends who care about each other very much."
Cox and McDaid, a member of the band Snow Patrol, were first introduced in 2013. They became engaged the following year, though their engagement was called off by late 2015. The couple reconciled in 2016.
During their relationship, Cox expressed a desire to have a child with McDaid. In a 2017 interview with NewBeauty, she mentioned the possibility of carrying another person's egg, stating, "I may be one of the older people doing it, but I would love to, with Johnny that is."
