A grieving couple fulfilled their young son’s dying wish to see them married again, nine months after his death. Mari and Matt Glenn, who had divorced years prior, remarried in October 2024, a year after their son Adam passed away from an aggressive brain tumor.

Adam, who was 11 when he died, had expressed his wish for his parents to remarry in his final days. "Our little boy's dying wish was that we would get married," Mari recounted. "The only problem was we were already divorced."

The couple first married in 2011 after meeting as teenagers and falling out of touch for a period. In October 2023, during what would have been Adam’s 12th birthday week, Mari found solace in talking to a butterfly, which she felt was a manifestation of her son's spirit.

During a family trip to Disneyland in October 2023, Adam began to feel unwell. By December of that year, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Despite the grim prognosis, Adam reportedly remained remarkably resilient. His father, Matt, described Adam as never being afraid or angry, maintaining his spark even as his speech and movement deteriorated.

The second wedding ceremony, held in October 2024, was a fulfillment of Adam’s wish, uniting the couple once more.
