Country Star Koe Wetzel Joins Hunting Season Trend with Monster Elk

Country music artist Koe Wetzel has shared images of a significant bull elk he harvested, adding to a growing trend of musicians in the genre highlighting their hunting achievements this fall. The Texas-native posted a photograph on Instagram, posing with a compound bow and the large elk, captioning it simply, "Oklahoma Breakdown."

This latest success follows similar posts from other country artists, including Luke Combs, Riley Green, Parker McCollum, and Sam Barber, who have also shared their hunting experiences. Chris Janson recently spoke with OutKick about his own elk hunting trip in Colorado.

Wetzel had previously hinted at his hunting excursion, posting a collection of music-related photos with the caption, "Posted from a remote area hunting elk." His dedication to hunting is well-documented; in a June appearance on the "Country Outdoors" podcast, Wetzel stated that he prefers not to be contacted between October and February due to his hunting commitments.

The singer has been an avid hunter since childhood, reportedly receiving his first bow at age 8. He has continued to hunt throughout his career, even bringing bows on tour and practicing archery year-round. This is not Wetzel's first notable elk harvest; he previously harvested a large bull in New Mexico and has spoken about taking another elk measuring over 380 inches.

While the exact location and details of this particular hunt, including the bull's score, were not disclosed, Wetzel's Instagram post indicates he was actively hunting during his stated preferred season. The photo of his recent harvest suggests he made good use of his time in the remote hunting area.
