Country Star Ella Langley Shares Hunting Dreams Amidst Social Media Scrutiny

Country music star Ella Langley has revealed her ultimate hunting aspiration: a large, "beefy" whitetail buck, ideally taken with a rifle. This sentiment was shared in a resurfaced clip from CMA Fest 2024, where Langley detailed her preferences for a successful hunt.

"My dream would be a massive white tail," Langley stated in the clip. She specified a preference for using a rifle, mentioning her .30-06 or .308 calibers, noting that the latter has been effective in her past deer hunting experiences. Langley also commented that while bow hunting is an option, she finds it involves "a little more guessing game than a rifle."

The resurfacing of these hunting-related discussions comes at a time when Langley has faced public scrutiny. Old photos of her posing with harvested deer, initially posted by Langley herself, began circulating again on social media, leading to renewed internet criticism.

In another older hunting-related clip, posted on September 21 by the Porch Light Unfiltered page, Langley discussed what she considers her biggest hunting regret. She recounted an experience during high school where she shot a large buck but, in her haste to retrieve it before taking the ACT test, she may have spooked the animal. Despite searching with her father, they were unable to recover the deer. "The biggest deer I ever killed, I never found," she said, describing it as "one of the hardest lessons I’ve ever learned deer hunting."

Langley expressed lingering remorse over the incident, emphasizing that taking an animal's life is a serious responsibility. The experience, she explained, was not about the missed trophy but about the failure to properly recover and utilize the harvested animal. This perspective appears to underscore her approach to hunting, which she does not appear to hide.

Despite the online criticism regarding her hunting photos, Langley's music career continues to thrive. Her song "Choosin' Texas" has spent 24 weeks at the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, setting a record for the longest-running chart-topper in the chart's history. As Langley navigates both her success in the music industry and the public's attention to her hunting pursuits, she remains focused on her passions.
