Country singer RaeLynn announced this week that she has filed for divorce from her husband, Army veteran Joshua Davis, after more than 10 years of marriage. The filing occurred on June 8 in Nashville, with irreconcilable differences cited as the reason for the dissolution of their marriage.

RaeLynn, 32, shared the news on social media, stating, "After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce." She emphasized her commitment as a working mother to providing her daughter, Daisy Rae, 4, with love and stability during this transition. The singer expressed gratitude for the support of her family, friends, and fans, and requested privacy.

RaeLynn and Davis met at church in 2012 and later reconnected before marrying in 2016. Davis, a former financial advisor, is an Army veteran. In a 2017 interview with Fox News, RaeLynn described her husband as "selfless" for his military service.

Music has often been a way for RaeLynn to express her feelings about her marriage. She has written several songs inspired by Davis, including "Camo," "Diamonds," and "Lonely Call." Recalling the inspiration for "Diamonds," she told Fox News in 2017 that the song's hook, "a diamond is just a diamond until you put it on the right left hand," reflected her feelings after their engagement. She also shared that she wrote the song "Love Triangle" about her parents' divorce, expressing a commitment to avoiding repeating those mistakes in her own marriage.

In recent social media posts, RaeLynn has shared moments with her daughter, Daisy, including a video of them dancing to her duet with Rhett Akins, "We're American Made." In the video, both mother and daughter wore patriotic-themed clothing.

RaeLynn's public acknowledgment of her divorce comes after a decade-long relationship with Davis, during which they built a family and she often celebrated their union through her music.
