Cornell Fraternity Brother Accused in Sexual Assault Case Reportedly Relocates to Dubai

Matthew Ingalls, identified as one of the "Cornell 7" fraternity brothers accused in an alleged gang rape at the Ivy League institution, is reportedly living in Dubai. A neighbor told the Daily Mail that they believe Ingalls has returned to the Middle East, where he spent part of his youth and attended an elite private school in Emirates Hills, an area known as the "Beverly Hills of Dubai."

The allegations stem from a lawsuit filed in September by a woman identified as Jane Doe. She claims she was sexually assaulted in the Chi Phi fraternity house at Cornell University in 2024. The case has drawn significant attention, leading to the shutdown of Cornell's Chi Phi chapter, which was founded in 1868. The chapter was subsequently barred from campus.

Court documents include screenshots of Snapchat messages exchanged among the fraternity brothers. In these messages, Ingalls allegedly expressed enthusiasm for the fraternity, saying, "I f***ing love chi phi." Another message attributed to a different individual involved in the group chat asked, "Shop still open?" shortly after a photograph of Jane Doe was reportedly shared among them.

Ingalls was a member of the rugby team and joined the Chi Phi fraternity after enrolling at Cornell. The fraternity's chapter was founded in 1868 and has been shut down following the allegations.

Cornell's Chi Phi chapter, which was founded in 1868, was shut down in 2024 following the allegations and remains barred from campus to this day.

The lawsuit details disturbing new information that has emerged regarding the events at the Ivy League school. The alleged victim filed suit in September, claiming the assault occurred in the Chi Phi fraternity house.
