Connecticut Teen Arrested for Driving 147 MPH
Authorities stopped a 19-year-old driving a BMW M3 more than double the speed limit.

A 19-year-old Connecticut man was arrested on Interstate 395 for allegedly driving nearly 150 mph in a 65 mph zone.
State police apprehended Orlando Perez, 19, of Groton, in Putnam on Wednesday evening after clocking him at 147 mph. The stop occurred around 9 p.m. in Danielson.
Perez was driving a BMW M3, a model with a starting price of approximately $80,000. He was charged with reckless driving and subsequently released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
Perez is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on October 21.
