Comedian Hardeep Singh Kohli, known for his appearances on celebrity versions of Big Brother and Masterchef, is scheduled to stand trial in October 2027 for a series of alleged rape and sex offenses.
At the Glasgow High Court, Kohli faces a total of seven charges. The indictment includes allegations of rape, four counts of sexual assault, and engaging in a course of abusive behavior towards one woman over a two-year period.
One alleged rape is reported to have occurred on June 20, 2021, at an east end address. Court papers state the woman was intoxicated and incapable of consenting at the time. Separately, Kohli faces four sexual assault charges involving the same woman. These include accusations of making her wear a blindfold and spitting on her during separate incidents.
The alleged course of abusive behavior includes demands for intimate images, inquiries into her past relationships, tracking her movements, and persistent calls and texts. He is also accused of coercing the woman into providing him with money.
Further allegations detail instances where Kohli allegedly locked the woman out of his house, appeared at her home uninvited, and discarded food she had prepared. He is also charged with communicating indecently with the woman and sending her photos of semi-naked females.
Initial charges also involve indecent assault on another woman at BBC Scotland studios in Glasgow and the Radisson Hotel in the city. No trial date has been set for these specific charges.
