Comedian and YouTuber Charleston White was arrested on Saturday in Florida on a misdemeanor battery charge, according to arrest records. White, 49, was taken into custody by the Hollywood Police Department and booked at the Broward County Jail.

The charge is listed as one count of a Touch or Strike/Battery misdemeanor. Details surrounding the alleged incident have not yet been publicly disclosed. The charge is currently marked as 'pending trial' with a $0 bond, awaiting a judge's review.

White's arrest occurred just days before a scheduled comedy show in Naples, Florida, set for the following Wednesday at the Off the Hook Comedy Club. His mugshot, obtained by the Daily Mail, shows White smiling.

This is not White's first encounter with the legal system. Approximately two years prior to his Florida arrest, he was apprehended in Texas on charges of animal cruelty and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was accused of pepper-spraying a cat, though he denied these allegations. In February 2025, he was arrested in the Fort Worth area on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was held without bond for a short period before his release, at which point he stated the charges had been dropped.

White's history with law enforcement dates back to his teenage years. At age 14, he was convicted of murder in connection with a Foot Locker robbery in Arlington, Texas, where a co-defendant fired the fatal shot. He served time at a Texas Youth Commission facility and was released in 1998. He later pursued a degree in criminal justice and founded an outreach program called Helping Young People Excel in 2012.

White is also known as a YouTuber with over 250,000 followers, often providing commentary on hip-hop, crime, and current cultural events. In 2023, White addressed allegations, which he dismissed, that the FBI was investigating him for holding women hostage and possessing illegal weapons.
