Columnist Dolly Alderton Marries in Secret Ceremony

Dolly Alderton, a prominent dating columnist and author, known for her candid reflections on relationships, has married in secret. She exchanged vows last month with hedge fund executive Jeremy 'Jez' Lawson.

The private ceremony took place at Islington town hall in north London, attended by a small group of guests.

Alderton, 38, reportedly wore an elegant white suit and a wide-brimmed hat. Among the guests were novelist Elizabeth Day and actress Emma Corrin, who previously starred as Princess Diana in the Netflix drama 'The Crown' and will appear in an upcoming adaptation of 'Pride and Prejudice' for which Alderton wrote the script.

Photographs were reportedly discouraged at the low-key nuptials. The bride is said to have delivered a 'hilarious and heartfelt' speech.

This contrasts with Lawson's first marriage in 2017, a three-day celebration in Phuket, Thailand. His best man at that wedding was Archie Keswick, a scion of the Jardine Matheson dynasty.

The couple honeymooned on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a trip Alderton described as 'the most truly decadent and magical few days that I will never forget.'

In other society news, Georgia May Jagger was seen in head-to-toe tartan at the launch of the Kurt Geiger Holiday Collection at Paddington station. Iris Law, daughter of Jude Law and Sadie Frost, spoke about the challenges of the modeling industry, noting its potential toxicity despite the glamorous facade. Actor Gary Oldman shared an anecdote about Prince William's connection to the production of the TV spy drama 'Slow Horses.' Meanwhile, Lady Alice Manners warned of online scammers falsely advertising tours of her family's ancestral home, Belvoir Castle, urging social media users to report fake accounts. Dame Margaret Drabble, 87, indicated her memoirs, which may contain compromising information, will not be published until after her death.
