Indianapolis Colts cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt has been suspended for the first game of the upcoming NFL season for violating the league's personal conduct policy. The suspension comes as a result of a driving arrest that occurred in January, while Taylor-Britt was with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Taylor-Britt, 26, agreed in January to plead guilty to charges of driving without a license and reckless driving in Hamilton County Municipal Court. He was sentenced to five days in jail. The arrest reportedly followed an incident where he was observed performing a burnout near the Bengals' Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati.

The cornerback also faced a separate charge last year for allegedly driving recklessly with five occupants in his vehicle in downtown Cincinnati.

Taylor-Britt signed a $1.4 million contract with the Colts in March. He will reunite with former Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who joined the Colts' coaching staff. Taylor-Britt spent his first four NFL seasons with the Bengals after being selected as the 60th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

During his tenure with the Bengals, Taylor-Britt played a significant role in the team's run to the AFC Championship game in the 2022 season. However, his 2023 season was shortened due to a Lisfranc injury, limiting him to two starts in eight games.

The suspension means Taylor-Britt will miss the Colts' season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on September 13. He is expected to make his debut for the team in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
