Collin Gosselin Denies Mother Kate's Allegations of Animal Abuse

Collin Gosselin has directly refuted allegations made by his estranged mother, Kate Gosselin, accusing her of making "heinous" claims that he harmed animals. A representative for Collin stated that these accusations are "categorically false."

"Collin has never used a weapon to harm a family member, nor has he ever harmed or killed an animal in his lifetime," said Collin's representative, Adriane Schwartz, in a statement to Page Six. "To publicly accuse your innocent child of such heinous acts to protect your reputation is beyond reprehensible."

The statement comes in response to claims made by Kate Gosselin in the comments section of a TikTok video and within the context of Collin's recent memoir, "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood." In these remarks, Kate alleged that Collin had a "history of violent behavior with weapons towards people, the killing of animals, his regular use of racial slurs, and his ‘physical behavior.'"

When responding to a fan, Kate Gosselin further elaborated on her claims, questioning if their "incredibly high needs child" had ever killed animals or attempted to assault multiple people with weapons. She also suggested that Collin was "cherry picking" details from his medical records to portray her negatively while withholding information about his own alleged dangerous behaviors.

Kate Gosselin asserted that her actions were motivated by a desire to keep him, his siblings, herself, and their pets safe. She also stated that she visited Collin during his time in treatment facilities whenever they deemed him stable enough for a visit, though some visits were canceled by the facility due to his instability.

Collin Gosselin, one of eight children from the marriage of Kate and Jon Gosselin, has publicly accused his mother of verbal and physical abuse, of locking him in a basement, and of misusing over $100,000 of his and his siblings' money to furnish her home. Kate Gosselin has previously denied these allegations.

Kate Gosselin shares twins Cara and Madelyn, both 26, and sextuplets, including Collin, Hannah, Leah, Joel, Alexis, and Aaden, all 22, with her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin. Collin's memoir, released in September, details his alleged experiences growing up in the family. Kate has consistently denied the accusations of abuse detailed in the book.
