Collin Gosselin has accused his mother, Kate Gosselin, of manipulating their sister Hannah through financial leverage and by using other siblings in their ongoing family feud. Collin made these claims during an appearance on "The View" on Thursday, responding to recent statements made by Hannah.

Hannah had stated that she has not lived with her father, Jon, and has not spoken to Collin in nearly a year, while maintaining relationships with their mother and other siblings. Collin disputed this narrative, asserting that he has seen Hannah multiple times over the past year, often with their father at his home, and presented photographic evidence.

"All family are very complicated, and that statement sounded like a lot of the words of my mother, especially the last part," Collin said on "The View." He suggested that Hannah is caught in the middle of the family's complexities and that no one deserves such a position. "Not only is she caught in the middle, but I do believe my mom is either leveraging finances or Hannah’s relationship with our siblings over Hannah," he alleged.

Collin also commented on the upcoming Netflix documentary about their family, suggesting that Hannah's recent statements are a form of "pre-damage control" orchestrated by their mother. He claimed that Hannah has revealed truths about actions taken by their mother and her own experiences. "So now, I believe that she is trying to do pre-damage control, unfortunately, because my mom has placed that guilt on her," Collin stated. He emphasized that Hannah should be free to maintain relationships with all family members without such pressure.

He further alleged that his mother has placed blame on Hannah, a situation Collin believes is not Hannah's fault. "It’s not her fault, but I do put the blame on my mother, because she’s leveraging that over Hannah," Collin asserted. He also reflected on his own childhood, stating that he consistently fought for his mother's approval.

Collin's memoir, "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood," details allegations of abuse against his mother. Kate Gosselin has previously denied these claims, defending her decision to place Collin in a mental institution in 2016 for his safety and the well-being of the family. She stated at the time that years of outpatient treatment had been insufficient.

Jon Gosselin gained custody of Collin two years after he was institutionalized, and later also gained custody of Hannah. The remaining six siblings—Alexis, Joel, Leah, Aaden, Mady, and Cara—have remained with Kate.
