Coleen Rooney Unveils Lavish £20 Million Mansion in New Docuseries

Coleen Rooney has given the public an intimate look into her sprawling £20 million mansion in Cheshire, as featured in the new Disney+ docuseries, "The Real Rooneys." The series chronicles a year in the lives of Coleen and her husband, former professional footballer Wayne Rooney, detailing their marriage, family, and careers.

The couple built their palatial home, nicknamed "The Morrisons Mansion," from the ground up in 2022 on 50 acres of farmland. Coleen described the house as the realization of a childhood dream, emphasizing its symmetrical design.

"This house is everything that I have dreamed of since I was a little girl," Coleen stated, as a montage of the home's numerous rooms was shown. "You know when you're a child and you draw a house, everything's symmetrical. The door in the middle and the same both sides..."

Among the mansion's extensive amenities are a home cinema, an indoor swimming pool, an underground spa, a wine cellar, and a football pitch for their four sons: Kai, 16, Klay, 13, Kit, 10, and Cass, eight. There is also a games room, complete with a cinema screen, pinball machine, and snooker table, which Wayne noted was a priority for him.

"A small little room with no windows - not 'cause I'm a psycho - but if I was playing PlayStation or watching a movie, and my snooker table, I don't really care what else," Wayne explained about his specific requests for the house.

Coleen, however, prioritized her wardrobe, though she admitted the dressing room was not as large as she had initially envisioned during the building process. She also highlighted personal touches throughout the home, including portraits of the children, souvenirs from her time on "I'm A Celeb," and a statue of Wayne celebrating a goal.

Despite the home's immense size, Coleen humorously mentioned that she sometimes loses track of her children within its many rooms. She also emphasized that while it is their dream home, all planning was centered around their four sons.

"It's a massive house but there's a lot of rooms within the house so I do lose my kids!" Coleen said. "Even though it's mine and Wayne's dream home everything was planned around the four kids."

Wayne reflected on their journey from growing up in Croxteth to their current lifestyle, expressing disbelief at their circumstances. "It's still mad to me to this day where we're living now to where we grew up. Me and Coleen, two kids from Croxteth. How are we living here?"

The interior design features classic creams and sophisticated grays, with a large island and white marble countertop dominating the kitchen. The grand marble lobby includes imperial staircases.

The property includes six en-suite bedrooms, with the master suite featuring a dressing room. The subterranean basement houses a steam room, plunge pool, hot tub, gym, a ten-seat cinema room, wine cellar, and snooker room with a bar. A dedicated garage can accommodate six cars, and there are stables for 14 horses.

The family faced delays in moving into the mansion, initially planned for 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They also implemented an automatic bird-scarer to protect the grounds.

"The Real Rooneys" offers viewers unprecedented access to the family's life, covering personal revelations, career milestones, and family holidays. The docuseries was part of a bidding war between Disney+ and Amazon, with Disney+ securing the rights for a reported £10 million. Coleen is expected to receive £5 million from the deal.

Kai Rooney is reportedly eligible for a professional contract with Manchester United next season, having earned his first scholarship and signed with super agent Triple S Sports earlier in March.
