Coleen Rooney has shared a series of photographs from her family's summer break, featuring moments from their vacation and other summer activities. The images, posted to Instagram, show Rooney in a strapless bikini enjoying wine alongside her mother, Colette McLoughlin, and with her four sons.
Her husband, Wayne Rooney, also appeared in some of the snapshots, showcasing the results of a recent nose job. He had previously discussed on his podcast, "Stick to United," undergoing surgery to correct a nose broken twice during his football career.
The holiday pictures also included the couple with their younger sons Kit, 10, Klay, 13, and Cass, eight, as well as their eldest son Kai, 16. Other glimpses into their summer included Coleen posing with Kai after his GCSE results and attending a music festival with friends.
These personal photos emerge shortly after the release of the first trailer for the Rooneys' upcoming £10 million fly-on-the-wall documentary, titled "The Real Rooneys." The 10-part series is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on September 24. The documentary promises an inside look at the family's life, following Wayne as he transitions from football management and Coleen's career ventures.
The teaser for the series featured banter between Wayne and Coleen, with Wayne joking about it being his series and Coleen playfully responding about letting him participate. Their four sons are also featured in the show.
According to a synopsis, the series will offer an in-depth look at the family's life, covering marital highs and lows, raising their children, and supporting Kai's football aspirations. It aims to reveal personal insights, career milestones, celebrations, and family holidays, showcasing the family "as never seen before: warm, funny and authentic."
The rights for "The Real Rooneys" were reportedly secured by Disney+ after a bidding war, with the production company Lorton Entertainment receiving a substantial fee. Sources suggest Coleen will earn £5 million from the project.
This venture contrasts with a similar project involving Rebekah Vardy, whose reality show pilot for Freeview channel W reportedly did not generate significant enthusiasm from TV executives. Coleen Rooney previously won a libel case against Rebekah Vardy in 2022.
