Coleen Nolan, 61, has revealed she is ready to marry her boyfriend Ryan Brockbank, 41, after a few months of dating. Nolan, known for her television work, shared her feelings on her podcast, "Nolans Uncensored," indicating that Brockbank is the type of partner she has sought for a significant portion of her life.
Nolan's daughter, Ciara, 25, reacted with surprise and a degree of discomfort to her mother's announcement, especially as Ciara herself is planning her own wedding. "I actually don't want to talk about it, it makes me feel a bit sick," Ciara reportedly said.
Previously, Nolan stated she had decided against remarrying but has since changed her mind since meeting Brockbank, a fashion lecturer. She described him as "what I have been looking for, for probably 50 years."
Nolan has been married twice before. Her first marriage was to actor Shane Richie from 1990 to 1999, with whom she has two sons, Shane, 37, and Jake, 33. Her second marriage was to Ray Fensome from 2007 to 2018, and they have one daughter, Ciara.
Last week, Nolan revealed she and Brockbank had gotten matching tattoos, a decision that also drew a strong reaction from her daughter, who commented that her mother had "lost the plot." Nolan shared that she has an "R" and a heart tattoo, along with the phrase "Until the end" on her forearm.
Nolan reportedly met Brockbank after her appearance on the dating show "Celebs Go Dating," which she described as a challenging experience. She reflected on the show, noting that her ego was affected by the rejections she faced. She also mentioned difficulties with dating partners from geographically distant locations, such as Essex, while she resides in Staffordshire.
Despite the past challenges in her search for a partner, Nolan stated that the agents and therapy involved in the dating process were beneficial, and she feels she has changed significantly.
Brockbank is a lecturer at the Fashion Retail Academy. Nolan and Brockbank are reported to have taken a romantic trip together, and he has shared images of Nolan on social media.
