The U.S. Coast Guard is conducting a search off the coast of Massachusetts for a medical transport plane that disappeared early Saturday morning. The Gulfstream G-100 aircraft was carrying six individuals when it lost contact with air traffic control.
The Federal Aviation Administration alerted the Coast Guard that contact with the plane was lost around 2 a.m. The aircraft was flying from Bermuda to Boston.
The Coast Guard has deployed air and sea assets to search the waters around Nantucket. As of 8:30 a.m. Saturday, there were no updates on the search.
