George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, recently evacuated their home in southern France due to wildfires before attending an event in Lake Como, Italy. The couple, who share nine-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, are known to spend summers in Italy.

In late July, wildfires spreading across southern France prompted the evacuation of the Clooneys' home in Brignoles, located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. The fires also impacted Greece, Italy, and Spain. George Clooney confirmed the evacuation in a letter to the mayor of Brignoles, Didier Brémond, with a representative stating the actor's commitment to the community. "As we evacuate Brignoles we want to emphasize two things, first we hope you and the people of our city are safe and second that Amal and I are committed to making sure that whatever happens to our village, we are part of this community and we’ll be part of making it whole," Clooney wrote. "We love Brignoles and our friends who live there."

Earlier this month, the couple was seen enjoying a night out at Villa Passalacqua in Lake Como. George Clooney, 65, wore a short-sleeved shirt and trousers, while Amal Clooney, 48, a human rights attorney, wore a low-cut, floor-grazing slip dress and carried a bouquet of flowers. They complemented each other in coordinating ivory outfits. George and Amal Clooney arriving by boat George and Amal Clooney at an event

In May, the Clooneys celebrated George's birthday in St. Tropez, where Amal organized a surprise party for him. She shared that friends of the couple posed as waiters to surprise him. George joked about the potential dangers of surprising someone on their 65th birthday.
