George and Amal Clooney were joined by their 8-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, for a rare family outing at a benefit dinner for the Clooney Foundation for Justice in Lake Como, Italy, on Tuesday.
The couple arrived by boat at the Villa Passalacqua for the event. George Clooney, 65, wore a gray suit, while Amal Clooney, 48, chose an elegant black floral dress. She accessorized with sunglasses and strappy heels. The human rights lawyer was photographed holding hands with Alexander, who was dressed in a tan blazer. Ella wore a gold dress and walked alongside her father.
The Clooney Foundation for Justice was founded in 2016 with the mission to provide free legal aid in defense of free speech and women's rights in over 40 countries. The couple, who married in 2014, typically keep their children out of the public eye, partly due to Amal's demanding career and their desire to raise the twins on a farm in France.
George Clooney has previously expressed concerns about raising children in the Hollywood culture of Los Angeles, preferring a more grounded environment. He told Esquire last October that he worried his children would not "get a fair shake at life" if raised in such a culture, wanting them to avoid the pressures of fame and paparazzi. He contrasted this with his own farm upbringing, noting that his children "have a much better life" with responsibilities like taking their dishes in after dinner.
Amal Clooney, speaking to Glamour in July 2025, mentioned that she and her husband prioritize creating private moments at home. She and George Clooney aim to shield their children from the intense spotlight often associated with their careers.
