Nicolai Amirzadeh, a 22-year-old entrepreneur, has developed Clip Tech, a platform designed to manage and distribute short-form video content for brands and creators. The company aims to provide the infrastructure for what Amirzadeh describes as the creator economy's next chapter, addressing the challenges of managing content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
The rise of short-form video has created a demand for efficient content distribution. Brands and entertainment companies have recognized the power of short clips, often finding that fan-made content can outperform official releases. However, the market for these clips has largely operated through informal channels, lacking reliable tracking and facing issues with inflated view counts.
Amirzadeh, who is self-taught in coding and has been creating online since age 11, drew on over a decade of experience to build Clip Tech. His previous ventures include captaining a competitive esports team, teaching coding, serving as CTO for an acquired company, and founding Servergen, a Discord marketing agency. This diverse background informed his approach to building Clip Tech.
As co-founder, COO, and head of product, Amirzadeh designed Clip Tech's core features. These include a Discord-based creator experience, a client dashboard, multi-platform view tracking, and payout systems. The platform also incorporates a proprietary fraud-detection system that has reportedly blocked payouts associated with approximately 900 million fake views.
Clip Tech has grown to include over 45,000 clippers and 120,000 editors globally. According to Amirzadeh, the platform has managed over 800 campaigns, facilitated the posting of 450,000 clips, and recorded 8.1 billion verified views. During a campaign for a FIFA World Cup soundtrack, a single audio track reportedly achieved more than 80 million verified views.
In May 2026, Amirzadeh was invited to judge HackTech, a major hackathon, recognizing his work beyond the clipping industry. His objective for Clip Tech is to establish paid clipper distribution as a standard, programmable element of digital marketing, akin to paid search or social media advertising. He also aims to provide a sustainable income stream for content creators who produce these short clips.
