OutKick founder Clay Travis has announced his intention to target French trans basketball player Julie Tetart as the centerpiece of a proposed WNBA expansion team. Travis revealed his plan during an appearance on "Don't @ Me" with Dan Dakich, stating that his potential franchise, to be named the Nashville Balls, would prioritize inclusivity by signing athletes who identify as women.

Travis expressed his belief that Tetart, who was the scoring and rebounding leader in France's Ligue 2 during the 2025-26 season, could lead his proposed team. Tetart, a 6'3" player, has previously stated that she would consider playing in the WNBA if contacted, although she acknowledged the age and competition level.

"If the WNBA is inclusive, then this French all-star, a WNBA team has to sign [Tetart]," Travis told Dakich. He envisions the Nashville Balls as a dominant force in the league, stating, "Our slogan is 'One love, two balls.' And we're going to absolutely dominate the WNBA."

Travis also pointed to another trans player in France's Ligue 2, Aurore Pautou, as an example of talent in the sport. Pautou, 43, has become a league leader in points and rebounds in recent seasons.

The WNBA has faced ongoing discussions regarding its inclusivity policies and the participation of transgender athletes. Travis's proposal directly challenges the league to act on its stated commitment to inclusivity.
