Claudia Buckley on Dolly Parton's Legacy and Avoiding the 'Nepo Baby' Label

Country music singer Claudia Buckley has expressed her deep admiration for the late Dolly Parton, describing her as an inspiration and sharing that she cried for two days upon hearing of Parton's death. Buckley revealed that she has taken significant life lessons from the "9 to 5" star. In addition to her admiration for Parton, Buckley has also addressed the term "nepo baby," rejecting its application to her own career. She stated that her father, country star Jimmy Buckley, was initially apprehensive about her entering the music industry.

Buckley's own music career gained momentum in 2019 with the radio hit "Diane." More recently, she performed Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" on the "Late Late Show Country Special" alongside Una Healy and Clodagh Lawlor. Her father, Jimmy Buckley, has also shared memories of Glen Campbell with Campbell's daughter, Ashley.

Claudia and Jimmy Buckley lead an annual event called "Across The USA," a guided music tour that includes visits to significant locations such as Memphis, Nashville, and Dollywood, the theme park established by Dolly Parton. Parton passed away on August 25 at the age of 80.
