Harriet Cowan, a breakout star from the Amazon Prime series Clarkson's Farm, has opened up about her on-screen dynamic with Kaleb Cooper and the significant online attention she has garnered since her debut on the show.

Cowan, 25, gained a substantial following after stepping in for Cooper during his tour commitments in the fourth series of the program. Reflecting on the period, she acknowledged that Cooper, 28, was initially displeased with her taking over his responsibilities. "I understand why he was p****d off and I’m not going to lie, he was," Cowan stated in a recent interview with The Telegraph. She attributed his reaction not to her personally, but to his absence during a lengthy tour, emphasizing that she herself would feel similarly if her job was temporarily filled while she was away. "But it wasn’t because of me as a person, or me as a woman. It was because he’d been away for so long on a tour bus," she explained. Cowan confirmed that any past frostiness has since been resolved, and she and Cooper are now good friends.

Her presence on the show was initially facilitated by her substantial social media presence. Now boasting over 846,000 followers on TikTok and 663,000 on Instagram, Cowan revealed that she receives a large volume of direct messages daily. "I must get about a thousand DMs a day and probably 50 per cent are just men being like, 'I wish I could marry you,'" she shared. However, she noted that the other half of her messages come from young women inspired by her farming career. "And they’re who I do it for," Cowan added.

Cowan, who trained as a nurse and worked on her father's farm, has transitioned to focusing solely on her agricultural career. She recently purchased her own farm in Derby, with plans to establish a cattle-fattening business on 100 acres. While she has no immediate plans to return to Clarkson's Farm due to the commute from Derby, she has not ruled out a future appearance.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Clarkson is reportedly back filming the sixth series of the show, following his public disclosure of an 'aggressive' prostate cancer diagnosis. The future of the series was uncertain after he revealed his health battle in the fifth season finale, where he told viewers, "If this is all successful I'll see you for season six and if it isn't I won't. Take care everyone." Clarkson was recently seen with the production crew at Diddly Squat Farm in June, coinciding with the UK arable trade show, Cereals, which drew a record crowd of over 25,000 visitors.

Harriet Cowan is in a relationship with fellow farmer James Booth. The couple met as teenagers at the Belper Young Farmers Club and have been childhood sweethearts.
