Clancy Juror's Lawyer Calls Mother a 'Demon' Deserving Execution

The attorney for the sole holdout juror in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, who was convicted of killing her three young children, has described Clancy as a "demon" who deserves to be executed. Michael Desronvil's lawyer, Edward Paltzik, stated in a recent interview that his client felt he was "standing up to evil" during the proceedings.

Paltzik expressed strong condemnation of Clancy, asserting, "A demon, which is what Lindsay Clancy is, murdered her three innocent children... and she actually has supporters." He further argued that Clancy "should be executed," but acknowledged that Massachusetts' abolition of the death penalty meant such a punishment was not an option.

"But if we’re just talking morally, Lindsay Clancy should be executed. I say that without hesitation because it’s the right thing," Paltzik stated. He criticized the idea of Clancy spending her days in a mental hospital or receiving three meals a day in prison, calling it "absurd" and "wrong."

Clancy has been housed at Tewksbury Hospital, a state-run mental health facility, since the killings. Paltzik emphasized the deliberate and prolonged nature of the murders, reiterating that his client, Desronvil, was "standing up to evil" by refusing to convict on lesser charges.
