Cipriani Residences Miami, a 397-unit luxury skyscraper in Brickell, has reached 80% sold ahead of its anticipated summer 2027 delivery, according to developer Mast Capital. The milestone follows a year after soccer superstar Lionel Messi purchased four residences in the building, a move that appears to have attracted a wave of other high-profile buyers.
Executives from financial firm Citadel and tech giant Amazon, many relocating from New York and California, have been among the recent purchasers. A number of Argentine soccer players have also bought units in the tower, joining Messi. These domestic buyers from New York and California now represent the leading markets for sales, alongside international purchasers from over 30 countries, including Mexico, Italy, and Colombia.
Mast Capital declined to confirm the identities of specific buyers, citing a policy of purchaser privacy. Messi reportedly paid approximately $7.5 million for one four-bedroom unit spanning about 3,500 square feet when he initially invested. At that time, the 85-story tower was still under construction, with a projected completion date of 2028.
The tower has now reached its full height of approximately 950 feet, positioning it to become the tallest residential tower south of New York City. Construction completion has also been accelerated, with residents now expected to move in during the summer of 2027, a year earlier than originally planned.
The Cipriani family's first ground-up residential project in North America will feature over 50,000 square feet of amenities. These include a speakeasy on the 37th floor with views of Biscayne Bay, a resort-style pool deck, a holistic spa, a private screening room, and dining options inspired by the Cipriani family's hospitality legacy, which began with Harry's Bar in Venice nearly a century ago.
Giuseppe Cipriani, representing the family, expressed excitement about the project continuing their tradition of creating elegant and hospitable spaces. Camilo Miguel Jr., founder and CEO of Mast Capital, highlighted the topping-off milestone as a reflection of Miami's growing status as a premier destination for high-end real estate and a validation of the project's quality.
Scott Moss, CEO of Moss Construction, noted that reaching the structure's full height brings buyers closer to homeownership. The 397-unit development, designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by 1508 London, features units starting at $1.8 million, with the Canaletto Collection beginning at $4.1 million. Fortune Development Sales is managing the sales and marketing for the project.
