Cindy Crawford Mourns Son Presley Gerber's Death at 27

Supermodel Cindy Crawford announced the death of her son, Presley Gerber, on Instagram, stating that she and her family are "beyond heartbroken." In a tribute posted Sunday, Crawford described Gerber as a "sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever." She added, "We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability."

Gerber died on September 20 at a rehabilitation facility in California. Authorities are investigating his death as a suspected overdose, according to police. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner lists Gerber's case as pending further investigation, and the Santa Monica Police Department has stated there is no indication of foul play.

Presley Gerber, who followed in his mother's and sister Kaia's footsteps as a model, made his runway debut for Moschino at age 16. His family expressed their gratitude for the support they have received. "We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years," Crawford wrote. "We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain."

His sister, Kaia Gerber, also shared a tribute, including photos and a letter to her brother. She wrote about navigating the world without him, stating, "I am learning how to love you when I cannot see you."

In recent years, Presley Gerber had been open about his struggles with mental health and drug use, often sharing videos on Instagram for a segment he called "Mental Health Mondays." His father, Rande Gerber, is a businessman and co-founder of the Casamigos tequila brand.
