Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber Seen After Son Presley's Death at Rehab Facility

Supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband, businessman Rande Gerber, were seen leaving their late son Presley's Hollywood home on Monday, marking their first public appearance since his death. Presley Gerber, 27, died at a Los Angeles rehabilitation facility on Sunday morning. His death is currently being investigated as a suspected overdose.

Gerber was driving while Crawford, 60, sat in the passenger seat, wearing sunglasses. They were seen departing the residence in a black Range Rover.

Reports from TMZ suggest that Presley did not appear sober upon his arrival at the luxury Resolutions Living rehab facility on Saturday night, just hours before his death. A source who had contact with Presley during his final hours told the publication that he seemed under the influence of a substance when he checked in.

Presley's death followed a years-long struggle with drugs, panic attacks, and mental health issues. The Santa Monica Police Department confirmed that emergency services responded to a report of a possible overdose at the rehab facility on Sunday morning. A spokesperson stated that detectives are investigating the death as a suspected overdose, with no indication of foul play at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.

Dispatch recordings indicate a call for 'cardiac arrest' was made at 9:35 a.m. on Sunday. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the official cause of death, although an autopsy was completed on Monday. Presley had been staying in a separate house on the rehab facility's grounds and had roommates.

The model had been open about his struggles, including a decade-long battle with drug addiction and mental health. Earlier this year, he documented his experience undergoing a 'Pre-ibogaine flood dose' at a treatment clinic in Mexico, a controversial single, high-dose administration of ibogaine, a substance derived from an African shrub used to help withdrawal symptoms.

At the time of his treatment in March, Crawford, Gerber, and their daughter Kaia praised Presley for his courage. Crawford commented, 'You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!' Kaia added, 'That's my brother I am so damn proud,' and Rande wrote, 'I'm so proud of you and your courage... I love you so much.'

Ibogaine is a Schedule I controlled substance in the U.S. but is legal or permitted on prescription in countries like Canada and Brazil, and is used in specialized clinics in Mexico. Presley had praised the Beond Ibogaine clinic in Cancun for its team, calling them 'incredible, caring, kind and on-their-s***.'

In the months leading up to his death, Presley had spoken candidly about his mental health. In November, he announced a step back from social media to focus on his well-being. In December, he shared videos detailing his personal life, including the medication he took for 'night terrors' and 'panic attacks.' He described his panic attacks as 'really, really bad' and admitted to sometimes not knowing the correct dosage of his medication.

He also spoke about his upbringing as an active child involved in sports, noting that sports became less of a priority as he began working, which he said took a toll on his mental health. He shared it took him ten years to realize the need to reconnect with physical activity.

Presley, who began modeling at age 15 and was featured in campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein, also appeared in a 2018 Pepsi ad with his mother. He had previously been arrested for driving under the influence in 2019 and had spoken about his frustration with a lack of clear direction from doctors regarding his medication, noting he had seen 15 psychiatrists. His sister, Kaia Gerber, recently spoke about the significant toll Presley's struggles had on their family, stating it had 'leveled everyone.'
