Cincinnati Lineman Suffers Injury, Then Further Discomfort in Cart Incident

Cincinnati defensive lineman Josh Hough sustained an apparent left leg injury during the second quarter of the Bearcats' 45-42 loss to West Virginia on Saturday. The senior lineman required assistance to leave the field.

The situation escalated when the cart transporting Hough appeared to make contact with a wall, causing him additional distress. The incident, captured on the TNT Sports broadcast, showed Hough seated on the back of the cart with his injured leg extended. The cart operator, while attempting to maneuver from the sideline, backed up too far, resulting in Hough's left foot seemingly hitting the stadium wall.

Hough reacted visibly to the renewed pain before the cart proceeded. This secondary mishap quickly gained attention on social media.

Hough was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the game with a lower-body injury. It remains unclear if the cart incident aggravated his initial injury.

Prior to leaving the game, Hough had been a notable contributor to Cincinnati's defense, accumulating 15 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks this season.
