UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell has accused his ex-wife, Heidi Northcott, of abducting their 14-year-old daughter, Guinevere, as their contentious custody battle escalates. Liddell filed an emergency custody order in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, seeking full custody of their daughter.
According to court documents, Liddell alleges Northcott convinced Guinevere to relocate to Newport Beach, California, during his scheduled parenting time and immediately before the start of the school year. He claims Northcott has no intention of returning the teenager. Liddell asserts that Northcott initiated this move after her attempts to relocate both Guinevere and their younger daughter, Charlie, 13, were not approved in time for the fall semester.
Liddell expressed concern in the filing that Guinevere missing the start of high school could cause "irreparable harm," potentially jeopardizing her spot on the varsity volleyball team. He also warned that separating the two sisters, who share a close bond, is contributing to "instability and chaos" for both children.
The former fighter further alleged that Northcott has a pattern of violating court orders. These alleged violations include failing to use a required co-parenting communication app, using the children as messengers, and skipping scheduled extracurricular activities.
Countering Liddell's claims, Northcott told TMZ that she has not abducted anyone. She stated that the 14-year-old "begged" to be taken away from her father, asserting that the children do not feel safe speaking with him. Northcott described Liddell as being "obsessed" with staying in her life and attempting to control her over the past five years since their divorce. She conveyed that she is "exhausted" by the ongoing legal proceedings, adding, "My door has always been open for my kids to see Chuck and I never abducted anyone."
Liddell and Northcott finalized their divorce in April 2025, concluding a four-year legal process that followed 14 years of marriage. A court hearing regarding the custody matter is scheduled for August 24.
