UFC legend Chuck Liddell has accused his ex-wife, Heidi, of abducting their 14-year-old daughter, Guinevere, and has petitioned the court for her immediate return. Liddell filed an emergency custody order in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, seeking full custody of Guinevere pending a hearing.
According to court documents, Liddell alleges the situation escalated because Heidi realized her attempts to move Guinevere and their 13-year-old daughter, Charlie, to Newport Beach, California, would likely be denied before the start of the school year. Liddell claims Heidi abducted Guinevere on Thursday, his scheduled time with the child, by persuading her to move to Orange County against existing court orders, and that she has "no intent to return her."
The former UFC Light Heavyweight champion also stated that his ex-wife has disregarded other court orders, including failing to use a co-parenting communication app, using the children as intermediaries for communication, and not bringing Guinevere to her extracurricular activities. Liddell expressed concern that Guinevere's absence from her first week of high school could cause "irreparable harm," potentially jeopardizing her spot on the volleyball team. He also noted that separating Guinevere from Charlie, given their close bond, is causing "instability and chaos for both" children.
Heidi Northcott has denied Liddell's claims, telling TMZ that the teenager begged to be taken from her father. She stated she is "exhausted" by the custody dispute, has "never abducted anyone," and that the children "don’t feel safe" speaking with Liddell. The couple finalized their divorce in April 2025, following a 14-year marriage and a nearly four-year divorce process. Northcott also told TMZ that Liddell has been "obsessed with staying in my life and trying to control me" for the past five years since their divorce.
A court hearing is scheduled for August 24.
